Week Ten at Discovery

Today Mrs Holmes read a story about the importance of using our manners at Discovery time. The teachers were very proud of what they heard as we talked to each other. We used words like, 'please', 'thank you' and 'you're welcome'. The teachers hope we continue to use these words at home too.

This week we have been having lots of fun using our fine motor skills to make things. Have a look at what we have done and ask us, at home, how we made them.

These children have been sewing in Room 1 today. Learning to thread a needle, tie knots and sometimes...untying knots. What a great job guys! We wonder what your pockets will be used for.

Brodie has made a hand puppet in Room 2. We love the originality with your design Brodie! We wonder if it's modelled off something or someone.

Max has been making Pom-poms in Room 4. He did a great job explaining how he made them. We wonder what he do with them now...they will make a great gift...Mother's Day is coming up.

Kiranpreet has been busy in Room 1 at the Writing table practising her letters. She is very proud of her accomplishments. Great s's and m Kiranpreet!

Ella enjoyed learning about repeating patterns, during Maths time in Room 1 today, so she used her Discovery time to create her own repeating pattern using the threading beads. Well done Ella!

Please leave a comment on our learning at Discovery this week. We enjoy your feedback.
